Interview anxiety is very common (even if you know you are well-qualified for a job). However, there are strategies you can use to help alleviate anxiety before an interview. And they work for both in-person and video-call interviews. Download her top strategies for free in her latest publication,The Ultimate Toolkit for Job Search Success. You landed the interview, and you have prepared everything you need to take with you. Get a good night’s sleep the night before your interview, dress for success, and make sure you have all of the above listed items with you when you head out the door.

It is important to be on time for your interview, so make sure you have a good idea as to where you are going so you are not late. If something happens with the connection, be honest! Everyone understands that a video call can have some glitches, so it’s always okay to ask someone to repeat something because the screen froze temporarily. Okay, so that’s not entirely reasonable, but try not to fidget, swivel your chair, type on the keyboard, or leave the frame of the video chat. I know that might feel unnatural, but it will give the interviewer the sense that you’re making eye contact and paying attention to what they’re saying.

Nano Editor

I discovered a fantastic piece of software, extremely extensible and carried by a community who creates excellent packages. There’s no benefit at all in “learning a new IDE”. Vim is here to stay, it has proven to survive many versions of many IDEs, who uses Borland, CodeWarrior today? And Vim seems very promising for me and I finished the starting vimtutor, I thing it will be my next coding environment for C and C++ and maybe Python all because VIM is distraction free.

Windows has a great inbuilt feature for you to quickly and easily create and edit a text file and save it anywhere you like. This could be one of the most universally needed features across any operating system or platform. Knowing how to create a text file on Windows 10 is a skill you will be using all throughout your lifetime of using technology. Similarly, you can re-add Wordpad and Microsoft Paint applications also. Microsoft Edge download page and get the latest version of the browser compatible with your system. Wait for the installer to download before launching the file and following the on-screen instructions http://cerocare.com/notepad/enhance-your-notepad-experience-download-must-have/.

Why does it matter what text editor you choose for your coding needs?

Honestly, because I like seeing the colors of syntax highlight. That and IDE interfaces hamper my ability to focus and think. It’s a bit like the guy who spends countless hours in Word fiddling with fonts and margins and colors on that spiffy pie chart rather than focusing on the content.

All builds and deployments are done with one button. The overall IDE is pretty minimalistic and doesn’t come close to being as complex as Vim or NetBeans because it doesn’t have to be. I used Vim several times trying to learn it realising how much of an investment in time and effort it takes. Both vim with vscode are equally valid today, it all depends on your preferences, I have left mine here, but until you have tried both technologies you cannot form your own on both. The only takeaway from this comment is the stark evidence of your lack of Vim experience.
